Camps, Sports & Excursions Fund

The Camps, Sports & Excursion Fund (CSEF) assists families with the costs of school excursions, camps and sporting activities.  The annual CSEF amount is $225 for secondary school students.  The CSEF payment cannot be used towards voluntary school charges, books, stationery, school uniforms, music lessons, or formals/graduations.

Only families holding a valid means-tested concession card or temporary foster parents are eligible to apply for funding assistance.

The two criteria for funding assistance are:

Criteria 1 – On the first day of term one or the first day of term two the parent or legal guardian of a student must:

  • be an eligible beneficiary of either a Veterans Affairs Gold Card, a Centrelink Health Care Card or a Pensioner Concession Card
  • OR they must be a temporary foster parent
  • OR the student aged 16 years or older holds a valid concession card (such as a Youth Allowance Health Care Card)
  • AND the parent or legal guardian must submit an application by the due date

Criteria 2 – The student must be of school age and attend a Victorian school

Special consideration is given to:

  • Families on a bridging visa, a temporary protection visa, in community detention or are asylum seeker families
  • Students in out of home care
  • Students in statutory kinship care

 

Applications for 2022 must be submitted by the Friday 24th June 2022.

Note: Applications are required to be submitted each school year together with a copy of a valid Centrelink Health Care Card or a Pensioner Concession Card.
